TUSB321: Inquiry about using TUSB321

Hello,

My customer wants to use TUSB321 for a USB Type-C development project.

They are trying to process the CC line with TUSB321 in order to configure the product with all optical.

Is normal operation possible if TUSB321 is used in the TX module and RX module without electrical connection?

    Hi JH,

    I'm not sure what you mean by 'TX module' and 'RX module'. Does TX module refer to the downstream facing port (DFP) and RX refer to the upstream facing port (UFP)?

    It would help if you can show a block diagram of the system.

    The TUSB321 will monitor the CC lines to control a USB3 MUX for data, and a VBUS switch for power over the Type-C connection. This part can be used in both DFP and UFP applications
