My customer would like to convert MIPI DSI signals to HDMI signals.
Can they do this with the SN65DSI83?

Though they have no knowledge of the FlatLink described in SN65DSI83, should they add a TMDS redriver?

They could use DSI86 to convert from MIPI DSI to DP, then use a DP to HDMI active protocol converter as a potential solution.

Does TI have any recommended devices for the DP to HDMI active protocol converter?

Unfortunately we do not a DP to HDMI active protocol converter in our product portfolio. Parade PS186 is one option, https://www.paradetech.com/products/ps186/.
