Hi team,
I see customer void all of our TX/RX pin , is this recommended or it will cause unexpected impedance change?

With our package design, do not void the ground under all of TUSB522P TX/RX pin, please leave solid ground under them.
Thanks
David
Hi David,
what would happen if customer keep its high speed pin ground void?
and is there other package design that may require ground void at high speed pin?
Fred
Most of our re-driver has a thermal pad and that thermal pad acts as a ground reference. If you void the ground under the high speed pins, this will create a poor return path. A poor return path will cause signal integrity issue such as excessive noise.
Thanks
David
