    Hi Nachiketh,

    I do not believe there would be any issues with using TPD8S009 on the Hot Plug Detect pin for DisplayPort. However, this device may have too large of a parasitic capacitance value if it is also being used on the TMDS channels depending on the data speed you are using. Because of this, we typically recommend TPD4E05U06DQAR or TPD4E02B04DQAR. These are both 4 channel devices, but have a much lower capacitance that allows for high speed data protection.
