Hi Gibbs,
The DP8386X family has Programmable MAC interface termination impedance. This can be adjusted in Register 0x170[4:0]. Please note that setting bits [4:0] to '0b11111' (0x1F) is the lowest impedance and '0b00000' (0x00) is the highest. Lower impedance is expected to improve rise time (will rise quicker) and higher impedance is expected to slow it down (will rise slower). Before changing this value, read the default and adjust from there.
If this is unable to meet the customer's needs, then looking at the layout would be the next step.
