Hi Ziad:
Let me check and will let you know later today.

Hi Ziad:
From the datasheet of CAT24C08WI-GT3, it should work.
If you can wait, I will buy some CAT24C08WI-GT3 to try and let you know the result.

brian
Hey Brian,
Yes, that would be great if you can get samples and vet out the IC.
Thanks!
sorry, I have not get chance to test, I will test by this week.
regards
Brian
Hi Ziad:
It seems CAT24C08WI-GT3 is not fit to our EVM. can you find the EEPROM pin to pin to AT24C04A , so I can try on our EVM.
Regards
brian
Hey Brian,
Unfortunately CAT24C08 does not come in a PDIP package. Is it possible to use wires to connect the pins to the pads in order to test the device?
sorry, I will try this week, what customer for this project?
Regards
brian
Hey Brian,
One last quick question on programming the EEPROMs in production. Do you have any suggestions on the how the customer should do this. E.g. At ICT, or can they be purchased pre-programmed?
I don't think they can purchase pre-programmed EEPROM. There are lots of EEPROM tools to program the empty EEPROM, TI can provide EEPROM tool as well.
Best
Brian
Hey Brian,
Can you take a quick look at ST MICROELECTRONICS M24C02-RMC6TG and let me know if this will EEPROM would work as well.
Thanks!
