TFP410: replacement for Sil164CTG64

Part Number: TFP410

Tool/software:

Hi,

customer is looking into replacing Sil164CTG64 with TFP410PAP.

Would you recommend any other device?

customer has following concerns regarding TFP410:

  1. Higher Power Consumption: The TFP410 datasheet indicates higher power consumption compared to the Sil164CTG64. Are there any specific operating conditions that might influence this?
  2. Internal Register Compatibility: We require compatibility with the existing Sil164 register set for a smooth transition. Can you confirm the level of register compatibility between the TFP410 and Sil164?
  3. Additional Features/Differences: Are there any additional features or significant characteristic differences between the TFP410 and Sil164 that we should be aware of?
  4. End-of-Life (EOL) Plans: Could you share TI's current End-of-Life (EOL) timeline for the TFP410?

BR,
Stefan

Unfortunately there is no operating condition to reduce the power consumption as the resolution of the input plays a role in the power consumption. The lower the resolution the lower the power draw. what resolution are you using? I can gather some data in lab using the resolution you are planning to use.

Internal Register Compatibility: We require compatibility with the existing Sil164 register set for a smooth transition. Can you confirm the level of register compatibility between the TFP410 and Sil164?

The register are very compatible as seen in the datasheets.

    SIL164

    TFP410

Additional Features/Differences: Are there any additional features or significant characteristic differences between the TFP410 and Sil164 that we should be aware of?

They should be very similar in implementation with no significant differences

End-of-Life (EOL) Plans: Could you share TI's current End-of-Life (EOL) timeline for the TFP410

I am looking into this and I will get back to you as soon I have an answer

  • Hey Stefan,

There is no plan to EOL this device yet. Who is the customer for this project?
