DS25BR440: glitch

Hi,

We use this component without equ/emp for LVDS

in the output pins we see a glitch (on the data and clk) like you can see in the attached picture

when we remove the component, the glitch has disappeared.

Have you ever heard about this problem before?

Hi Shay,

1). What is the width or how many nanosecond is the step in the diagram you've shown?

2). Is this output AC or DC coupled?

1.About 200ps

Hi Shay,

I am thinking this step could be due to the AC coupling and RC time constant of AC coupling Cap plus the impedance on your receiver.

What is the data rate and would this 200ps have an effect?

This is the route of the LVDS

no additional capacitors and resistors along the way

Hi Shay,

1). I think earlier you mentioned this AC coupled? So there would be Capacitor at the transmit side of the LVDS driver.

2). What is the data rate and does this have effect on your application?
