PCA9306-Q1: effect the rise time of the signal

Part Number: PCA9306-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello team,

About PCA9306-Q1,we use it to transfer SMI from 1.8V to 3.3V,the design shown below.

The test result shows that the rise time of  input SMI can meet the spec, it's 2.4ns,but the rise edge of output signal becomes very gentle ,it's 55ns.

I want to know it's design issue or chip issue.

Thank you!

  • This device is a passive switch; the rise time is determined only by the 3.3 V pull-up resisors (and the board's capacitance).

You can use lower-valued resistors, but note that the SOC's pins must have enough drive strength for the pull-up current.
