TRF1208-AFE7950EVM: Transceiver pinout check between AFE7950 and ZCU102 raises concern about incompatibility issue (positive pair connected to negative pair in the FPGA side)

Part Number: TRF1208-AFE7950EVM

Tool/software:

Dear forum,

We are trying to check if the transceivers of the AFE7950-EVM Eval board can be used with the ZCU102 Xilinx FPGA Carrier Board. For that, we did a table with the pinout between the AFE7950-EVM and the ZCU102. We noticed that some of the differential pairs coming from the AFE7950-EVM are connected to the inverted differential pair in the FMC connector of the ZCU102 (which also are inverted in the balls in the FPGA). For example, if you look at the RED row, you can see that the 1STX+ (positive pair) is connected to the MGTHRXN1_228 (negative pair) in the FPGA side. My question is if this is an incompatibility (positive pair MUST be connected to positive pair (?)) or it can work connecting the positive differential pair to the negative differential pair and viceversa.

Thanks!

Regards,

Miguel Ángel
