Hello  Dears

Regarding Part number : TSS721ADR  Current DC:2339+  COO :TW

After check we found marking & X-ray format does not match history and we didn’t find any PCN about marking & X-ray

For now are having left one X-RAY , right one is old history

Could you help to check  what is the reason  here?

Looking forward to y our reply~

Thank you~

  • Eileen,

Can you share the topside of the old and new devices? There have been 2 different PCNs for this device since 2012: one for the mold compound, and one for the topside marking. The mold compound could change the leadframe assembly, but we'll need to see the date codes of both devices before we know for sure what could be the reason for the different leadframe.

One thing to note, though the internal leadframe structure is different, the function and characterization of the device remains the same.

  • Eileen,

Based on the topside markings, the old device is from 2012, while the new is from 2013, does that make sense based on the customer order history? If so, the difference is due to the mold compound change in the end of 2012. Again, when these kinds of changes occur, the device is verified that no specified parameters or functions change before it is fully released.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Hi Eric,

can you help confirm whether it is normal to have two different marking format in this part no?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Eric,

We found a PCN have mentioned the top marking have been changed. but the document content not including of this part number.

Since from 22+ to 23+ top marking are different format/logo ,is it normal and possible in this case?

  • Hi Eric,

Although changes in mold compound are mentioned, we also need to ask about changes in marking format.

Can you help confirm whether it is normal to have two different marking format in this part no?

    Looking forward to your reply~

    Thanks.

  • Eileen, Jimmy,

Yes, there was also a PCN to change the topside marking of this device that happened in 2022. So yes, this is normal.
