Dear Experts,

We are using TCAN11623DMTRQ1 & TCAN1044ADDFRQ1 for 500kbps CAN communication in Automotive project. Kindly let us know how to select the common mode choke between CAN_H & CAN_L. On urgent basis suggest us any part also for include in design.

Abhiram,

In our experience, using a CMC with the inductance value of 51uH or 100uH is the best option. There aren't many differences between the different manufacturers of these devices, so the customer should look for that value, and then look at the impedance vs. frequency plot in the datasheet to make sure it will work for CAN.

Abhiram,

The best data is to look at the frequency vs. impedance curves in the datasheet. The inductance values aren't typically calculated and are standard 51uH and 100uH.
