DS90UB926QSEVB: ALP does not detect the 926 board

Hi,

I have the latest version of ALP(v1.57) on my windows 10 laptop and did does not detect the DS90UB926QSEVB board.

I am referring to this https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/snlu114 from TI's website to make connections on the board

1. 3.3 V and ground connection on J6 and J7 respectively

2. a USB connection to the board from my laptop

I have not changed the jumpers and using the board as I received from TI.

I have attached a picture of the 926 board powered up.

The 3.36 Troubleshooting ALP software section of the user guide (https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/snlu114) asks for “NSC ALP Nano Atmel” device under the “Universal Serial Bus Controllers” as shown below but I do not have it on my computer

1. Am I missing any derivers , if yes where to get them ? TI's tutorials have many broken links (FPD link III tutorials)

2.if its not not drivers what might be the potential cause and fix for the board detection issue I have on my computer

Hi Sarala,

For these EVMs you have to install a driver. Please check following "ALP-92x-Driver-Install" folder of your ALP

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Analog LaunchPAD v1.57.0010\ALP_Documents\ALP-92x-Driver-Install

It has detailed driver installation steps for you to follow.

The Nano driver is not from TI. It's a Cypress driver and supports Win10. The instructions to download and install it are in the ALP install folder listed below.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Analog LaunchPAD v1.57.0010\ALP_Documents\ALP-92x-Driver-Install

If you don't find this folder in your machine, please make sure you installed the latest ALP-PROFILE-UPDATE (v10) from TI.com in addition to the ALP frame work. Then only you will see the above folder. Also, then you will have the latest ALP profile updates on your machine.

Hi Fadi,

I have the latest ALP-PROFILE-UPDATE(v10) from TI.com. The links (shown below) on the pdf instructions from the ALP install folder do not work.

Hi Sarala,

When you search this link on your PC do you see this PDF file attached below?

If not, that means your ALP profile is not updated.

Here is the PDF you should be seeing that has instruction on how to install the drivers.

Fadi,

Yes, I do see the pdf file. I have the ALP profile up to date.

I follow the instructions on the pdf file (you shared the same pdf file ).

This is what I see on my ALP tool (as per the pdf instructions)

The links are broken. Can you provide me the right link to download driver file for Cypress CyUSB drivers?

The first link content is archived (I copy paste the link in the browser )

The second link result is attached in my previous response.

I repeat, I have the right ALP profile. Please share the working link to download driver file for Cypress CyUSB drivers.

Hi Sarala,

Ok I see. The Nano driver is not from TI. It's a Cypress/Infineon driver. I tried steps below can you see if this CyUSB3 driver works for you?

I registered on the infinion site
Searched for "cypress cyusb driver," and downloaded "cyusb3 usb suite source software."
Download he "Driver.zip" file from the "EZ-USB FX1, FX2LP, FX3 driver" community on infinion.
