TUSB8044A: Disabling HID to I2C interface

I've been testing the TUSB8044A and have encountered an issue where its HID to I2C programming interface for the external EEPROM conflicts with another USB device on my PC, preventing it from being detected by its software.

Is there a way to disable the HID to I2C interface on the TUSB8044A other than manually disabling it in Windows Device Manager?

Any advice or workarounds would be appreciated.

Hi Brian:)

My apologies for my late response.

The problem is not with the I2C bus itself, but with the HID interface that is added in Windows by the TUSB8044A programming interface.
This HID interface conflicts with another HID device on my Windows PC.

The problem however has already been solved by replacing the TUSB8044A with the TUSB8041.
