Hello team,
We need a P2P device to replace TJA1042T, we are considering TCAN1044A, but they are different in pin5, so I want to check with you if it is available, or do you have other better recommendations?
Thanks!

Daniel,
TCAN1044A-Q1 is a suitable replacement. The SPLIT pin is meant to drive the recessive voltage level for a more stable common-mode signal. Our modern CAN transceivers don't have the SPLI pin due to being able to pass Automotive EMC standards without it. And in the customer schematic, connecting this line to the no connect will have no .

Hello Hackett,
Thank you for your reply.
And in the customer schematic, connecting this line to the no connect will have no .
What does this mean?
Now there is a line connected with SPLI pin for the TJA1042T, if it is drop-in replaced by our TCAN1044, how to deal with the SPLI connected line?
Thanks!
Sorry about the unfinished response. Connecting the SPLIT connection to the NC pin will have no effect. The NC pin is a true no connect on the IC.
