Hello,
Please refer to this Open Alliance application note where we recommend 100 ohms on R_Xi:

Hi Avtar
Thanks for your reply.
It only told me to use 100 ohms, i still do not understand why, like which test item may be fail with 0 ohm?
Regards
Bruce
Hello Bruce,
These are rule of thumb recommendation for passing Open Alliance compliance testing, we do not have exact data on what tests will fail if using 0 ohm R_XI but 100 ohm is recommended. Are compliance tests failing currently when using 0 ohms R_XI?
Regards,
Avtar
Hi Avtar
We did not see any failure until now, but we only tested PMA and EMC, we better follow the recommendation. thanks.

Bruce
