TVP70025I: Non-standard RS170 CSYNC

Part Number: TVP70025I

Tool/software:

Looking for help with SOG slicer not handling non-standard RS170 signal. Normally during VSYNC on the composite signal (CSYNC) you see 5 or 6 HSYNC pulses. The RS170 signal I am working with does not have any HSYNC pulses during the VSYNC period. This seems to confuse the ADC as on output I see field output switching between field 0 and field 1, I see HSYNC output pulses, but VSYNC output is all over the place. I considered passing CSYNC out to a FPGA thru the SOG output pin, extract HSYNC and VSYNC manually, and then reinjecting into the ADC but looks like according to figure 5 in the datasheet that this is not possible since if I use HSYNC input my SOG output would now be HSYNC instead of CSYNC. With the THS8083 you could do this (see figure 2-4 of datasheet).

Thanks,

Matt
