Tool/software:
Hi,
is there a other way to translate a SPI Interface to LVDS, and back to SPI on an other PCB.
For using of two SPI, with two chipselect signals.
->SN65LVDT14 and 41 would work.
->SN65LVDS31 and 33 would also work (only 4-way Transmitter / Receiver)
Is there a cheaper solution available?
Best regards Reiner
For four signals in one direction, the most cost efficient devices are the DSLVDS1047 and DSLVDS1048.
(Do you need more than four signals?)
Hello Reiner,
Here is a TI reference design for SPI over LVDS (TID-060017).
It uses LVDS devices SN65LVDS31/33.
Using the TIDA tool, you can search for the reference design by #060017: TI Reference Designs Library
User’s Guide: Transmitting SPI Over LVDS Interface Reference Design
For lower cost, you can consider using single channel driver / receiver devices, such as the DS90LV011A/12A.
The disadvantage is that this will increase the BOM IC count.
Thank you, Amy
