DP83849IFVS-EVK: Why (RESET_N) short (pin71) with GND then ping communication works properly.

1]. When we power up the board and send a 'ping' command, the 'ping' command doesn't work.

2]. After RESET_N short (pin71) with GND then ping communication works properly

Hi Santosh,

When you meant shorting the reset pin to ground. Are you temporary reset the DP83849PHY and it link up afterward? or the DP83849 is always in reset stage?

Exactly, but this should not be done frequently and when I turn the board power off to on, I have to give the reset command manually again from pin no 71.

Hi Santosh,

Thank you for the clarification.

If my understanding is correct, It required an manual reset after the board is power up before it can link up.

If possible, could you provide a register log before reset and after reset?
