SIGCONARCHITECT: lastest version

Part Number: SIGCONARCHITECT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS320PR410-RSC-EVM, , DS160PR410, DS320PR410

Tool/software:

Hi,

We found in DS320PR410-RSC-EVM Evaluation Module User's Guide SIGCONARCHITECT tool is 3.2 version.

But TI website only provide the 3.0 version, is there have 3.2 version can download?

Or 3.0 is the lastest version?

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hi,

And we alos found gen4 model in this tool, can't find gen5 seletion. Is it GUI version issue? thanks!

  • Hi Jeff,

SigCon Architect version 3.2 is only available via secure resources at this time.

By default, the SigCon Architect v3.0 and onwards installers come with the DS160PR410 plugin by default. The plugin for the relevant device must be installed separately.

    Best,
    David

  • Hi David,

We found Eye Height Page Upstream / Downstream sometime can normal selet as below figure.

Would you help for this question? thanks!

  • Hi Jeff,

David is out of the office so I will handle this case in the meantime.

We found Eye Height Page Upstream / Downstream sometime can normal selet as below figure.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean here, can you clarify?

    Best,

    Evan Su

  • Hi Evan,

Sorry for typo, should be "can't" selet the some page as below figure red mark.

Do you have any idea for this?

    Thanks!

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

Those pages in the DS160PR410 profile are greyed out in this example because the profile has not been activated by the customer through the "Apply" button on the "Configuration" page. Here is where the button is on the DS320PR410 profile:

The "Configuration" page is where the GUI software is told the adapter type, device I2C addresses, and other required information to communicate with a device. When a real device is connected and the I2C address + adapter settings are entered correctly, pressing the "Apply" button will allow access to the other pages (in Demo Mode like I am using, pressing "Apply" will always allow access to the other pages).

In the customer example, it looks like they are already using the DS320PR410 profile to configure a real device. In that case it's not helpful to try activating the DS160PR410 profile at the same time because the device registers are incompatible, it will only confuse the I2C software.

    Best,

    Evan Su
