TUSB211A: Does the TUSB211A improve signal integrity when not in USB TEST_PACKET mode?

Does the TUSB211A improve signal integrity when not in USB TEST_PACKET mode? Are the compensation for AC and DC loss always applied during USB HS operation or only during USB-IF TEST_PACKET operation?

I guess my question is regarding what this part is really for. Does it help all USB 2.0 HS traffic all the time or only when TEST_PACKET is turned on.

Hi Matt,

The TUSB211A is intended to help compensate for loss in all USB2.0 HS traffic, not just for during TEST_PACKET testing. The TUSB211A will first sense a USB connection, and if it sees a successful HS handshake to establish a HS connection, the redriver will enable and begin boosting the signal that under the redriver.
