TCAN1043A-Q1: PPAP Production rate

Part Number: TCAN1043A-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Please provide "production rate of N/A / N/A hours" PPAP.

  • Allen,

I've reached out to our internal PPAP team for a response, we will update this thread whenever we hear back from them. We should hear something by the end of this week.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett

  • Hi Allen,

This declaration is discussing product samples which we do not provide as part of a PPAP. This is why we do not list a production rate on the PSW and instead list N/A / N/A hours.

    Regards,

    Sean

  • Hi,Sean
The samples described in the DECLARATION section of the PSW are used for all tests described in PPAP files.
TI must declare that these samples are obtained under certain production cycle conditions (usually at least 300 pieces in 8 hours), not chosen arbitrarily for the tests.
    Thanks.
  • Hi Zhanbo,

We don't provide product samples for PAPP, product samples whether for production parts or PCNs are handled by completely different teams from ours.

    Regards,

    Sean

  • Hi,Sean Guo

The PPAP file you submitted includes testing items such as functionality, performance, dimensions, reliability, and environmental regulatory requirements. Samples for testing these items must be taken from production run rates that meet mass production requirements. The declaration section in the PSW must describe the production run rate.
    Thank you!

  • Hi Zhanbo,

Sorry for the delay, the PPAP team who's in charge of this is out of office right now, I'll get back to you early next week.

    Regards,

    Sean

  • Hi Zhanbo,

Devices used for qualification are produced at the required rate for AEC Qualification. Samples are units of the device sent to the customer for them to use to verify the part will work with their design before they go to full scale production. The units we use for qualification are not sent or sold to customers as samples or otherwise. The "product samples" that the declaration is referring to are the same product samples referenced in the Requested Submission Level Section.

As TI provides fully digital PPAPs, we can not provide samples along with the PPAP. Device samples are handled by a completely separate team and managed by customers through TI.com. Since we are not providing samples in a fully digital PPAP, we have no Run Rate to declare and instead declare N/A.

    Regards,

    Sean
