Hi Team,

We're testing the color bar on SN65DSI86-Q1 and facing some issue, we can't get the output to display.

below "2DP_4DSI_RBR_800x600_Color_Bar.xml" is the script we refer to:

8585.2DP_4DSI_RBR_800x600_Color_Bar.7z

We use the monitor and adjust the Reg according to SN65DSI86_5F00_PANEL_5F00_VIDEOREGISTER_5F00_CALC.xlsm. Then configure the Reg table.

But still can't get any data output.

Below is the register status from 0xF0~0xF8 before we give any command.

0xF0:0x00
0xF1:0x00
0xF2:0x00
0xF3:0x00
0xF4:0x00
0xF5:0x02
0xF6:0x00
0xF7:0x00
0xF8:0x00

After we adjust the Reg based on above attachment "2DP_4DSI_RBR_800x600_Color_Bar.xml", 0xF0~0xF8 status as below:

0xF0:0x00
0xF1:0x00
0xF2:0x00
0xF3:0x00
0xF4:0x00
0xF5:0x20
0xF6:0x00
0xF7:0x00
0xF8:0x01

Do you have any suggestion for us?

Hi,

Does the monitor support ASSR? If not, does the TEST2 pin being pulled to 1.8V thru a 1k to 10k resistor?

Hi David,

You mean like if monitor can support ASSR then we don't need to pull up the TEST2 pin before assertion of EN pin?

And if the monitor do not support the ASSR, we need to pull up the TEST2 pin to 1.8V, am I right?

Hi，

This is correct. The register 0x5A bit [0:1] also needs to be set to 0x00 for non-ASSR and 0x01 for ASSR.

Hi David,

Yes, it's related to the TESTx pin setup, but it's TEST1.

But EVM show TEST2, maybe it's because the definition of TEST1/2 pin is different between AECQ(SN65DSI86-Q1) & Commercial grade(SN65DSI86) version.

Test 2 pin is the same between the AECQ(SN65DSI86-Q1) & Commercial grade(SN65DSI86) version.

If you look at the ASSR_Control description, you can see that ASSR_Control is R/W when TEST2 pin is sampled high.
