TCAN1042-Q1: Protection varistor

Hi team,

My customer think to use our CAN. For protection varistor, there is 100ns plus that exceed abs max. Is it OK to use? If it is NG, could you please teach me work around?

    Hi Miyaoka-san,

    I would recommend to use TCAN1042H-Q1 here for the ±70V bus protection. TI can't guarantee no damage for working conditions exceeding the abs max ratings for any period of time, unless the conditions conform to one of the listed ESD test standards. Thus I can't guarantee 100 ns would be good or not to cause permeant damage.
