TPD1E10B06: VRWM MAX

Part Number: TPD1E10B06

Tool/software:

Hello team,

In the datasheet of the TPD1E10B06, the VRWM only shows the max value(5.5V), does this mean that the current through the diode does not exceed a certain amperage up to 5.5V even taking into account the variation of the product?
For example, am I correct in understanding that this does not include products where the current begins to exceed a certain amperage at 5.4V?

Best regards,
Tetsuya

  • Hi Tetsuya,

As long as the DC voltage is below the breakdown voltage, there should be no concern. As long as the downstream circuitry can handle the current being passed through the diode, there is no issues.

So in short, the voltage limits are dependent on the operating conditions of the line. As long as this voltage is below the breakdown voltage, the diode will be suitable. In addition, the diode can handle some current well, but the main concern is what the downstream circuitry can withstand.

Please let me know if you still have any questions!

    Best Regards,

    Josh Prushing
