DP83822I: Link down detection conditions for DP83822I and DP83848K

The FLD criteria are the same as normal link down, except more strict. FLD is meant to drop link quicker than what is defined by the standard. May I ask why you are asking about this? Is there currently a link down issue with the DP83822?

Although there have been no particular trouble and issue with the DP83822I and DP83848K.

We received a request to confirm specifications that are not listed in the documentation so that customer can continue to use the product with confidence.

- Regarding the line short conditions of DP82822I, would you please let me know the difference between when FLD is enabled and when FLD is disabled?

- Please also confirm the line short conditions for DP83848K.

When you mention line short, are you referring to when does link drop?

If so, the exact details of the PHY's state machine cannot be shared.

As mentioned before, link down happens for the same reasons as FLD. The FLD functionality is more strict and will drop link sooner than the standard defines.
