Our SW team says that the stack structure of the source provided can only control one TUSB422.

I2C Channels are connected individually and I want to control 4 TUSB422.

Isn't it possible to control four TUSB422 simultaneously with one MCU?

Hi Jeong:

I2C address for TUSB422 is fixed at 0x20, so with one MCU, it can only control one TUSB422.

Hi brian

I connected them to the MCU using 4 I2C-channels, so I think it doesn't matter if the I2C addresses are the same.

if you using different I2C master, then it should be ok.

Using the F/W provided by TI, it is possible to control four TUSB422 devices by using the four I2C Masters on a single MCU.

Is my understanding correct?

Could you provide a guide related to this?

Hi Yongki:

If you have different I2C masters on single MCU like I2C#1, I2C#2...IC2#4, it should work., but you need to connect them separately.

I2C#1 to first TUSB422, .. I2C#4 to 4th TUSB422.
