TPD4E05U06: Using TPD4E05U06DQAR for Ethernet 2.5G application

Hi Team,

Currently I am planning to use TPD4E05U06DQAR part over the 2.5G ethernet MDI lines.(Between the phy and the connector that is having magnetics). Can you please let me know whether we can use for the same as it is not mentioned over applications available in the datasheet.

    Hi,

    Yes, TPD4E05U06 can be used for 2.5G ethernet. Our datasheets don't include every interface the device can protect. With TPD4E05U06, is is able to support speeds up to 8Gbps, so it will work for 2.5G.
