TCAN1145-Q1: spec vs TJA1145

Hi expert,

my customer are evaluating the TCAN1145-Q1 to replace TJA1145, but now they don't find below spec in the datasheet, could you help provide the answer or tell me where can find below spec in the datasheet.

1 could TCAN1145 support SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-5

2 what is the value about the spec: ESD(MM)--(TJA1145 is -300V to 300V)

3 what is the value about the Spec: Vth(RX)dif--differential receiver threshold voltage (TJA1145 is 0.7V).

4could TCAN1145 support the BUS dominant time-out function

5 could you provide below test report:

Hi Colt,

1. Yes, TCAN1145 can support all physical layers that require ISO 11898-2. The SAE standards here only require the physical layer defined by the ISO standard, TCAN1145 is able to support the transceiver-level requirements for the physical layers of these standards.

2. Machine model was not required by the majority of customers anymore, and therefore our new products are not tested for this type of ESD during characterization.

3. There is no such a sperate specification in our datasheet. We've already specified threshold for dominant and recessive state.

If you take a look of TJA1145 datasheet, they are just taking the min and max value of dominant/recessive threshold. The CAN bus is in unknown state if differential voltage falls into this range.
