I know SN65HVDA1040A is a direct replacement of TJA1040T/CM. Can TCAN1057AV-Q1 replace them without other circuit and programming change?

Hi Sean,
Thank you for the fast response. For TJA1040T, we used split pin. We don't need to modify the circuit, for the same pin is NC for TCAN1044A and it's no need to use split for TCAN1044A, right?
What about TCAN1044AV? We can leave the circuit as is, or do we need to remove the 'split' connection so that the CANH and CANL won't be affected?
Hi Wei,
Yes, no need to modify the circuit, the NC pin is not internally connected, and there's no need of SPLIT for TCAN1044A-Q1.
The TCAN1044AV has an extra VIO pin for leveling shifting, you would need to supply 3.3 or 5V voltage to this pin, so I don't recommend to use the V-version device.
Regards,
Sean
