Tool/software:
I have inherited a design that has a TUSB8020B directly connected to a root USB chip port. Although it is desired to have the system to eventually work with USB 3, it needs to work with USB 2 for now. On the latest board layout ( third try of this circuit ). The system still doesn't see the TUSB8020B. The TUSB8020B does not enable the power ports. GRSTZ has a 1 uF cap. I've attached the TUSB8020B EVM board to other ports of the root USB chip and the system works fine. The one difference I see is that our test pin is directly connected to Ground compared to a pull down resistor on the EVM board , and other circuits I've found. This resistor sees a 3.3 mA pulse about 12 uSec long as 3.3 volts starts. How important is that resistor?
It appears that the unit is still in reset or test mode.
