Hi Hanamantappa,
Bit[12] has no effect if bit[13] is not asserted. Bit[13] must first be set to 1 to enable force polarity control, then bit[12] selects normal or inverted forced polarity.

Auto-polarity is decribed in the DP83TC814 datasheet, the section is titled 8.4.5.2 Auto-Polarity Detection and Correction.
Normal polarity is the standard setting. Inverted polarity is when the TRD_M (negative) and TRD_P (positive) signals are flipped.
Forced polarity if when you force it to one of these settings, otherwise the DP83TC814 will implement auto polarity correction.
