Hi,

The design requirements for a Fire Panel system, demand power line communication over a distance of more than 1.2 km.

More than 254 devices (detectors) would be interfaced to the main control panel.

Suggest possible feasible solution for the above mentioned design specifications.

Also please specify the baud rate that would be maintained for the specified suggestions.

Hi Neha,

I'm not familiar with Fire Panel systems, what is the expected voltage of the power line and the max current draw you are expecting? This will affect whether or not you need to use the THVD8000 with a line driver.

My rough guess is that at 1.2km the max data rate may be about 10kbps with lower jitter allowance.
