May I know is there any alternative part of SN65LVDT348 which supports 2.5V, application like the picture showing, Board A and Board B are 2.5V, so need a 2.5V transeiver.

There are very few LVDS transmitters that work at 2.5 V. The SN65LVDS19 is a one-channel buffer.

The SN65LVDT348 is a quad channel receiver. Here are options of the 2.5-V receivers we offer: LVDS, M-LVDS & PECL ICs product selection | TI.com

If looking for a newer device, the DS90LVRA2-Q1 (DS90LVRA2-Q1 | TI.com) released in Dec. 2023 and is dual-channel.

Hi Amy,

Thanks a lot for the suggestion and link. could you help have a look the circuit as the picture showing, use SN65LVDS1, SN65LVDS2 as differential receiver and driver, ISO7741DW as digital isolator, will it work?

This will work.

There are LVDS isolators like the ISO7820LL/ISO7821LL. If FPGA2 does support LVDS inputs, then you do not need separate LVDS transceivers.

Hi Allen,

Yes this solution will work. A few things to keep in mind for this setup: 1) Ensure that there is a common ground connection between the two boards. 2) Be sure to follow the recommended layout guidelines per the datasheet. As Clemens mentioned, there are isolated LVDS buffers that we offer ( Isolated LVDS buffers product selection | TI.com ) - but would require two pins on an FPGA per input.

Many thanks for your support, I will check if FPGA2 has enough IO pin available for differiantial, if yes we will consider LVDS isolators, or else still need LVDS transceivers.
