Hi Henry,
Please use the following scripts to enable Test Modes on the DP83TC813: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/DP83TC812-USB-2-MDIO-SCRIPTS
Thanks,

Hi Sir,
The test mode 3 is not shown in the table 8-128, is the DP83TC813 cannot support it?

Please refer to the attachment, the customer got the test result is NG on test mode 5, could you please advise some comments to fix this issue?

Hi Henry,
Test Mode 3 is not needed or used in 100Base-T1 compliance testing.
The shared report is done using the TI EVM or customer board? Can you please verify that the device was not reset and you are loading the initialization scripts given here.
Thanks,
David
Hi Sir,
Thank you for your sharing, and the customer only tested function on the DP83TC813EVM-MC.
They also refer to the d/s to test the loopback mode, but they cannot get any response for DP83TC813-Q1. could you share the script to test the looback mode?

Hi David,
I had a call with customer today and let me update the status. Regarding test mode 5 issue customer will test the scrip that you suggest next week when their own PCB back next week.
At this monent, they would like to try connect DP83TC813EVM to the MAC of Novatek soc NT98530, they enountered an issue that the coneection does not work. here is the driver that my customer used https://github.com/TexasInstruments/ti-ethernet-software/blob/main/linux_drivers/dp83tc812.c
And below picture showd how they connect DP83TC813EVM to the MAC of Novatek soc NT98530. The red box high light the signal they used for the connnection. Also they had modify EVM Bootstrapping configuration to RGMII delay mode.

NT98530 can use MDIO to read / write PHY ID: (10) and all registers
however NT98530 MAC and DP83TC813EVM PHY connection always failed below is NT98530 log

can you help review what might went wrong ? and how to debug it ?
Also as Henry's post above, because the MAC and PHY link failure, customer would like to do loopback test, is there any scrip that customer can use for this purpose?
Hi PY,
Can you please share a picture of the setup. The EVM is not intended to be modified in such a fashion as you are describing, so would like to see how this is being done.
I am understanding that link is toggling between Up and Down repeatedly, without anything changing?
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
Below are customer's setup.
1. they remove the damping resistor on our EVM as indicate in red retangle
2. jump wire from DP83TC813 pin as indicated in Green circule
3. there is no damping resistor in between DP83TC813 and Novatek SOC

Thanks,
Yes, your understanding is correct
Hi David,
Customer had down load the script you suggested and it works on our EVM, they are now working on porting their code on to Novatek SOC, so far seems thing move forward. so no need the code at this moment. Thanks for your support. i will close the E2E post first. if new question i will post a new E2E.
