Tool/software:
DP83869 is configured as a RGMII TO SGMII bridge. On the SGMII side, can the DP83869 flip the P N polarity by register setting?
Thanks

Hello,
There is no immediate way to correct for polarity, but I found some registers which *may* be able to help. Is both TX and RX polarity flipped, or only one channel?
Are you seeing issues due to the polarity flip? Is the received and transmitted data flipped?
Sincerely,
Gerome
Hi, Gerome:
Both TX and RX polarity are connected crosswise by mistake. SGMII can not link up.
Hope you can help to swap the PN polarity by setting software register.
Thanks a lot.
Hello,
Can you try reading Reg 0x1D5[0:1] and setting this? This should normally be deaserted. If this does not work, a Layout change will be required to rectify the crossover.
Please note this is an extended register and thus requires extended register access.
Sincerely,
Gerome
Hi, Gerome:
I can not find the specification of reg 0x1D5 in data sheet dp83869hm.pdf.
Can you show me the definition of reg0x1D5 and its bit 0~1.
Thanks
Hello,
Can you please indicate whether or not the setting fixed your issue?
Sincerely,
Gerome
Hi,
I have not changed the setting because I can not find the reg 0x1D5 in dp83869 data sheet. Can you provide me a new data sheet?
Hello,
This setting is not available in the datasheet and I am looking to understand its functionality. As a debug step, can you please enable these bits to see if this alters the behavior? If this bit is shown to not be functional, a layout change will need to be required.
Sincerely,
Gerome
