DS90CF384A: Displayport to RGB LCD Panel

Part Number: DS90CF384A

Tool/software:

I wanted to know if the DS90CF384A when coupled with NXP PTN3460 could be used to convert the video signal from DP > LVDS > RGB TTL.

I would like to interface with a RGB LCD panel but my source is DisplayPort. Would the PTN3460 converting from displayport to LVDS, would the generated LVDS signal work with the DS90CF384A ?

  • Hi Nitish,

As long as the requirements of the DS90CF384A are met at the input of the LVDS (four LVDS data streams, up to 1.8 Gbps throughput or 227 Megabytes/sec bandwidth)

It looks like the PTN3460 can output LVDS bus transmission of single LVDS at 112 mega pixels per second, while our device can support up to 140 Mbit/s on each channel.

I would double check with the NXP support of PTN3460 to see if the output can align with this requirement.

Please let me know if you have further questions on this.

    Best,

    Miguel
