Tool/software:

As TCA5013 was launched 10 years ago (2014), will it still be available for up to 7 years from now? Any plans for EOL as NXP TDA8026 is marked up EOL and last order is in October 2024.

         What business case for your customer? Normally TI will supply existing customer  even  after NRND.

    Hi Brian,

    We're developing EMV Reader and need to support up to 8 SAM. Currently, we're using TDA8026 on our current EMV Reader. As the last time order for NXP TDA8026 is in October 2024, we'll need to use TCA5013 for our new EMV Reader which we're currently developing. The target date for mass production of the new reader will be End Q1 2025. We need 10 years of components support from our product mass production date. It's important for us to use parts that will still be in production at least 7 years from year 2025.

    HI Ivan:

    We won't EOL a device unless there is an unforeseen disruption to manufacturing or supply, or if there has been no demand or orders for a significant period of time (usually 5-7 years). We won't EOL out of convenience.
