DS90UB933-Q1: Output is abnormal

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Tool/software:

1121.report.docx

The panoramic camera lights up on the car's infotainment system, resulting in a misalignment of the image stitching. The right half of the previous frame and the left half of the next frame were mistakenly pieced together (this is the case during one power on cycle, but it recovers after power failure). The following figure shows the log read by the host. I would like to confirm if the value in the 0 * 93 register will cause any abnormalities

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. Do you mean register 0x93 on the deserializer? It looks like a 960 deserializer is being used based on the log. Register 0x93 of the deserializer indicates that frames with CSI errors have occurred on the deserializer. Depending on the errors that occur, abnormalities may be seen on the display. The log also notes that there is an invalid stream index coming from the camera, this would likely result in errors being logged on the deserializer.

  • Please help confirm: What kind of fault phenomenon will occur due to the abnormal log in the picture, or what phenomenon does this fault code represent, and where may the source of the fault occur?

  • Hello,

This is a custom system log that is not specific to FPD-Link products. For specific details on this log, it would be best to reach out to the SOC vendor who developed the system. However, at a high level, the log states that there is an invalid stream index on the ISP and CSI errors on the serializer and deserializer. This implies that the CSI data being sent by the ISP is either misconfigured or has an error in the data stream.
