TCAN1146-Q1: pre biased start up

Part Number: TCAN1146-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

1. Is there a requirement of pre biased start up for Vcc and Vio?

2. when I send a sleep command to the TCAN1146-Q1 via SPI, is it OK to turn off the VIO and VCC supplies before the TCAN1146-Q1 goes to Sleep mode? (Example: INH does not start up after sending sleep command)

regarsd,

  • Hi Shinji,

There is no power on sequence requirement for Vcc / Vio for this device.

If the Vcc / Vio fall belew their undervoltage thresholds before the device has time to enter sleep mode, there may be unintended impact on the interrupt registers (undervoltage flags may be set) and partial networking configuration (SW_EN may be cleared). It is recommended to wait for tMODE_NOM_SLP (200us) or until the INH signal has turned off before Vcc and Vio or removed.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
