Is it must follow their layout example in page 16 short pin 1 to 8, 2 to 7
Q1) Is it must follow the example layout to short the pin
Q2) What if not shorting them as the example layout

    Hi Kent,

    Yes, it is a must to short these pins. the TUSB211A does not carry the signal through the device. Instead, it can be placed over the USB2 traces and will passively boost USB2 HS signals as they pass under it. If these pins arent shorted per the layout example, the USB2 trace will break.
