DS90CR288A: Is there a variant of the DS90CR288A with 1.8v output ?

Part Number: DS90CR288A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CR287

Tool/software:

Does TI have a variant of the DS90CR288A with 1.8 volt output ?

  • Hi Alfred,

Let me look into this for you, I will let you know if there is a direct variant of this device with the specified output on the CMOS/TTL.

Do you have a specific requirement for this CMOS / TTL output, maybe a block diagram describing the connection?

Will this system require 1.8V at the CMOS/TTL input device (DS90CR287) as well?

    Best,

    Miguel

  • Output is connecting to a 1.8v input bank on an FPGA.  Many FPGAs with 1.8v banks.

1.8v for the input device is not required, but if available it could be used in a camera.

  • Hi Alfred,

There does not appear to be a variant of this specific device type with the given specifications that meets the 1.8V output CMOS/TTL that you are requesting.

You could implement a system which uses DS90UB927-Q1 to DS90UB926-Q1, which has 1.8V output available, but these devices are not pin-to-pin compatible with the ones mentioned above and use a different interface between the SER and DES device.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

    Best,

    Miguel

  • Miguel

Thank you but that would require the camera to change to the DS90UB927, which is not under my control.

We receive image data from many other cameras that use the DS90CR287.

  • Hi Chuck,

Understood. In this case, the FPD-Link portfolio does not have a pairing for the DS90CR287 that can have a controlled output of 1.8V with the given frequency range.

    Best,

    Miguel
