Tool/software:
Hi,
We are working on a prototype project with the mentioned USB hub. The datasheet suggests contacting TI for a programming tool and instructions.
Could you please provide me information about programming the OTP memory and the external EEPROM through the main USB port?
Is there an available programming software tool?
Thank you,
Tibor
Hi Tibor:
please accept my friendship request and I will send programming tools to you.
Best
Brian
Hi Brian ZhouI am Tibor's colleague and trying to use the EEPROM Programmer SW. However, even when I have the board connected, and start the software, it says, "No attached TUSB840 device was found. This program will now exit".
Although the SW title says TUSB80xx, the guide included says TUSB804x. So are you sure that's the correct SW?

please try to force hub into program mode.

Thanks Brian Zhou I did that, and could start the SW. I could verify that it's the correct drive, through PID and VID.
But I see all Data values as 00s.
Als if I click Read, I don't get any errors, and the vaues stay as 00s.
If I change a value and click Write, I don't see errors. But I tried changing PID and VID but still the PID and VID of the device didn't change in the Info or in the Device manager. I also tried physically reconnecting, and power cycling the board after doing these changes, but the PID and VID didn't change.
Also, one weird thing, after I change a value and click Write, and then just as a test, try to save the file, it gets saved. but when I open the file, I do not see anything there it just has the headers.
Can you help me identify the issue?
