Hi

We have some questions related to the 3G SDI (LMH0302) functionality:

  1. Can we use only one of the BNC outputs, either SDO+ or SDO-? If so, which one, SDO+ or SDO-, is recommended for use as the BNC output?
  2. Do SDO+ and SDO- need to be used simultaneously for output?

Can I use only one BNC Output? Or must I use two BNC Outputs at the same time?

If only one channel is used, which BNC Output channel is recommended?

    Hi Gareth,

    You can use either SDO+ or SDO-. They have the same performance, only they are inverted. They are both active when SDO is active, so if you only want to use one you must terminate the complementary output. A configuration could be to use SDO+ and terminate SDO- 75 ohms.
