TUSB320EVM: Tablet can't access with USB via TUSB320EMV

Hi Albert,

What settings on the EVM are you using? Jumpers, DIP switches, etc.

Please make sure you are following the instructions listed in section 3.3 of the EVM user's guide when attaching the EVM to the tablet. You may want to try UFP as well, if possible.

Did't insert any jumpers on the EVM board

Tablet -> USB micro wire -> TUSB320 -> typeC adaptor with TYPE A connector -> USB flash

Red LED is lighting that indicate EVM is host with Tablet, USB should be slave and can be access but is not.

Hi Albert,

It sounds like it should be configured for it then. Is there a way you can make sure the USB flash is being powered, I.E checking the VBUS pin on the connector or using a flash drive with an LED indicator?

there is a LED on Flash when being powerd. i also check Vbus pin voltage is 4.5V.

it's seems like USB signal problem because PC recognize USB sucessful only one time.

It does sound like that's the case, yes. There should at least be some activity over the USB2 lines. Let me try to replicate this on our side with one of our EVM's, and I will let you know what I find.

For the one time the PC recognized the USB, was that different from the tablet setup? Or is it that the PC can recognize it while the tablet can't?

Okay, got it. Weird that it worked once. If there isn't any difference in setups, then maybe there is a factor of the setup that is affecting the connectivity? I would recommend maybe testing different cables.

Once I have the chance today, I'll go into the lab and test this.

Can't say I can think of any reason it is not working, however I did notice some differences in some your setup versus mine. I.E the blue wire and no jumper on J8. I was wondering what this blue wire is for, and why the J8 jumper isnt populated. If you could let me know the reasoning for that, or if adding J8 does anything to change anything, that would be appreciated.

blue wire is connection between R32 and TP5 to make sure the voltage toUSB flash is 5V not 4.5V

the result is same when J8 with jumper

I can't say I'm really sure what the issue is then, since I can replicate this setup with it working. The only idea I can think of is to try other devices, other hosts, and maybe another EVM.
