TUSB212: Eye diagram issue

Part Number: TUSB212

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Can you help take a look of this eye diagram test result and provide some suggestions on how to config our redriver?

  • Hi Han,

Looking at the eye diagram, it looks like the redriver is not enabling. Could you monitor the ENA_HS pins and the CD pins to see what it looks like on there? If the redriver is enabled, these pins should be pulled high.

Additionally, please ensure that the test procedure in section 8.2.2.1 is being followed, and that the redriver is being powered before any signal is sent through, or else the redriver will not enable.

Looking at the schematic, looks like DC_Boost is level mid and EQ is EQ2. You could consider dropping EQ to EQ1 or 0, just to ensure the signal is not being overcompensated.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
