AM26LV31: Polarity correction on IC?

Part Number: AM26LV31
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THVD1505, SN65HVD888

Tool/software:

Hello all,

We replaced some DS26LV31TM's with AM26LV31C's expecting a direct replacement. After doing the change, it seems like we are getting reversed polarity signals coming from our new AM26LV31C units...

Is there any significant difference between the DS26LV family and AM26LV family that might cause signal polarity's to be reversed from one chip to the other, such as a polarity correction? This could stem from some other issue on our board, but thought this would be a good starting point since it seems to be the only part difference in our board...

Thanks in advance!!

Jesse

  • Hi Jesse,

That shouldn't be the case. None of our 422 drivers have a polarity correction feature on our drivers. I believe polarity correction only appears on our SN65HVD888 and THVD1505.

Do you have a schematic we can double check?

Are you able to double check your connections to make sure the Y/Z pins are what you expect?

Do you have scopeshots of the issue you're seeing?
