DS90UB936-Q1: DS90UB936 Decoding Decoding problem of DS90UB933

Flow chart As SOC- DS90UB933-COAX (FPD LINK)-DS90UB936 (MIPI)-USB decoding chip -USB2.0 computer display.

Customer feedback that DS90UB933 sends video data at 1280X720X30fps, as follows:

1280*720, dclk 60MHZ, ht 1344, hbp 40, hfp 20, hs 4, vt 738, vbp 7, vfp 7, vs 4, DS90UB935 cannot resolve the resolution correctly, making the USB2.0 display video picture incomplete. If it is normal, it should be the red fill image in the following figure to cover the green area shown in 1280X720.Pls kindly find attachfile#1.

1.The decoding configuration of DS90UB936 is as follows:

(0x4c, 0x01)

(0x1F, 0x02)

(0x7C, 0x80)

(0x70, 0x1E)

(0x6D, 0x1F)

(0x58, 0x58)

(0x7D, 0x30)

(0x32, 0x01)

(0x33, 0x01)

(0x20, 0x00)

2.TX 933 has no other configuration, and uses the default official circuit with D2-D9 data BT656 input

3. The hardware of all the preceding links is OK

4.TX 933 used to drive the original car machine (934) display full screen, but after 936 decoding, used for USB2.0 computer display when the screen is not satisfied, we see the main reason is that the resolution identified by 936 is not correct, judged by the register data of 0x73-76.Pls kindly find the configuration as attachfile #2.

So pls kindly help to check  how can DS90UB936 be configured so that the resolution resolved is correct?

    Hello Ning Li,

    Can you provide the schematic of the UB933? I need to check the MODE and other settings/connections.

    Do you have dedicated HS/VS connections/data coming into the UB933? Normally, BT656 does not contain conventional sync signals (it has these as embedded signals within data) so it is not compatible to be used with CSI DES such as UB936.

    Dear Hamzeh,

    Schematic pls kindly find attachfile.

    For the HS/VS,There is a dedicated HS/VS connection on the hardware to enter the 933, but it is not used on the software, that is, there is no signal on the HS/VS to the 933, and the internal synchronization is adopted.

    Hello Ning Li,

    As I said, if there are no dedicated HS/VS signals coming into the UB933, that means it is not compatible to be used with CSI DES such as UB936. because for the CSI DES can't use the internal embedded synchronization signals to create the correct CSI timings.
