DS90UB926Q-Q1: Link Error Count register 0x41 ?

Part Number: DS90UB926Q-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi

If we enable the error count, how do i read this register to know how many Link Error had happen ?

Will we see this register value increase if link error happens ?

  • Hi,

This register will increase your error count threshold, it's not a live error counter for your link. This is a legacy device, it doesn't have a live counter that monitors for error during normal operation. If you are seeing lock drop during ESD testing or EMI testing, etc and you're suspect a link margin issue, setting a higher Link Error count may solve the Unlock issue by increasing the link margin for tollerating errors.

Register 0x41 default is 0x03. When bit [4] is set to 1, Deserializer looses LOCK when Link Error Count reaches "0x3". When bit [4] is set to 0, Deserializer looses LOCK when Link Error Count reaches "0x1"
