Hi Azlum,
What serializer device is the 940N paired with? Are you using the serializer on another custom board or a TI EVM?
Here's the general steps I would suggest:
1. Use the EVM User Guide of the Serializer board as a guide. For example, for the 947, we would refer to this document: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snlu140a/snlu140a.pdf?ts=1729715849986&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Ftool%252FDS90UB947-Q1EVM
The SER should be connected to the DES as shown in the document's Typical Configuration.
2. Download ALP on your PC. This is the GUI you can use to interface with the FPD-Link devices
3. Connect PC to the FPD-Link device. This can be connected on the SER or DES. On a TI EVM you can connect using USB2ANY, or for a custom board (or EVM) you can use I2C with an Aardvark.
4. Use the GUI to set the display timings and enable Internal Pattern generator.
5. If PATGEN works, you can then try with end-to-end video with video input to the SER.

Hello Ikram,
Thanks for the reply.
We are planning to connect DS90Ux949 with custom DS90UB940N-Q1 PCBA by dual link using coaxial cable. Then connect the USB2ANY adapter dongle to J29 on the DS90Ux949 EVM and then test using the ALP Software installed in PC. And FPD Link connection can be checked at “Partner Information” under Information tab in the ALP tool.

Hi Azlum,
Yes, that should work. Please refer to the EVM User Guide for the 949: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snlu169/snlu169.pdf
As a first step, please try using the Pattern Generator to set the display timings and enable PATGEN to get output for display.
Then you could try getting video input via HDMI to the 949. This E2E answers some questions about EDID and has the script to overwrite it: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1281846/ds90uh949-q1evm-video-generation-without-edid/4864290
